Akki to Promote Canada Tourism?

After having endorsed popular consumer brands such as the Grasim Men's wear collection, Thums Up, Levi’s, LG, Micromax mobile, Asian Heart Institute and Manappuram General Leasing; reportedly the famous Bollywood heartthrob Akshay Kumar has been made an offer to be the brand ambassador of Canada Tourism. However, official announcements are yet to be made.
It is expected that the High Commissioner-Designate of Canada to India- Mr. Stewart Beck will be formally making the announcements when he visits New Delhi on February 25, 2011.
Akshay who has visited Canada quite a few times on earlier occasions was invited by the Canadian Prime Minister to be an honorary guest at the G-20 summit held in June 2010.
If Akshay becomes the brand ambassador of Canada Tourism, he will be the first Indian celebrity to endorse Canada Tourism.
