About Me

Yashwant Deshmukh is an eminent political analyst and psephologist with wide ranging experience spanning over 14 yrs in Public Opinion Research & Election Management. He has extensively studied democratic evaluations, elections, public opinion and conducted research in related fields in more than 30 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe.

He also happens to be the only opinion survey expert to have personally covered the troubled valley of Kashmir extensively apart from the other conflict ridden places like Congo, Aceh, Sri-lanka, Palestine and Northern Ireland.

He also carried out the pilot for Democracy Assessment Survey among Indian Elite for International IDEA and was instrumental in designing the first ever CPS (Corruption perception Survey) among common Indians for Transparency International. He is life-member of WAPOR (World Association of Public Opinion Research) and a Fellow of the Wilton Park South Asia Forum, an initiative of the British Foreign office, to bring the young and prominent Election makers of South Asia in an informal dialogue process.
